MK2 Doctor Who Leather Psychic Papers
Our MK2 Psychic Papers are finally here — redesigned and improved based on feedback from our customers.
This upgraded version now includes 6 screen-accurate inserts, 3 being doublesided, giving a total of 9 different usable card faces, each precision machine-cut for a clean and consistent finish.
Compared to our V1 release, the inserts have been redesigned for improved accuracy and uniform sizing, ensuring they fit perfectly inside the wallet. Previously, some inserts were hand-cut and could occasionally vary in size
— MK2 solves this completely.
The wallet structure has also been reinforced with stronger cardboard, giving the prop a more durable and authentic feel.
For this version, we have also rounded the wallet edges, inspired by the different variations of the prop seen on screen.

Summary of the Prop History
2005 The Psychic Paper first appeared with Christopher Eccleston in “The End of the World,” created by Showrunner Russell T Davies.
2006 - 2013 The prop continued with David Tennant in Series 2, introducing the ability to display messages, notably in “New Earth” and “Silence in the Library.” Matt Smith used it throughout his tenure from Series 5 to the end of his era.
2014 - 2015 During Series 8 and 9 with Peter Capaldi, the Psychic Paper was briefly replaced by a different prop.
2016 - Present The original prop returned in Series 10 with Peter Capaldi and continued with Jodie Whittaker.
THE PROP ITSELF: The original prop was a modified driving licence holder made from black top-grain leather with an imprinted stamp. It underwent several modifications, including cutting down the interior leather edges and reshaping the inside flap to disguise its origins.
